“To the Castle they are calling …” A story of knights and peasants, nobles and pig-boys; a story of Christian stewardship. The Jay Beech musical “To the Castle” combines humor, lively music, and a solid message about our partnership in service. |

Based on Jesus’ “parable of the talents” in Matthew, “To the Castle” begins with an announcement of the return of the King – time for all in the castle to give an account of their labors! What if the best you could do was – probably not good enough? |
In the end, all our work is beneath God’s dignity – but God has made us partners. No gift is more important than another. Even the swineherd (with the singing pigs!) has a role to play. |

| Our cast came from across Healing Waters Parish -- it was fun to be able to work with each other, and share our varied gifts! | ||||

Pastor Evelyn Weston is our director, applying her theater skills and experience. Zee Anne Reishus is our musical director and pianist, supported by an excellent band drawn from across Healing Waters. |

and we’ve all had lots of fun! |

From the moment the Town Crier announces the return of the King, everyone’s in a whirl. “That’s tomorrow! And what about ‘give an account of their labors?’” |

Diligence and generosity, loyalty and support and kindness and compassion, all have their importance. |

In the aftermath of this surprise announcement, some are confident…and some are terrified. “What does that mean – ‘give an account?’” “I don’t know – but it doesn’t sound good!” |
And then the King returns! |

| Our praise is to Jesus, the King who gave us varied gifts and calls us to work together for the good of all. "With our voices we'll tell all the glories of your reign ..." | ||||
| "To the Castle" called us to share our gifts -- and helped us do that. There were roles in the musical for all ages, and working together we drew on abilities and mutual support which none of our congregations could have found alone. | ||||
